Some Filipino adjectives may be used as adverbs.  Adjectives describe nouns or pronouns, while adverbs describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. The three pdf worksheets below practice the student's ability to tell whether a Filipino word is used as an adjective (pang-uri) or as an adverb (pang-abay). The second page in each file is the answer key. Pang-abay Worksheets (Part 6)

The three worksheets below are about Filipino adverbs or pang-abay.  Adverbs are words that modify or describe verbs (pandiwa), adjectives (pang-uri), or other adverbs. You may print and distribute these worksheets to your children or students, but you may not sell or distribute them for profit.  The second page of each pdf file is the answer key.  These worksheets are appropriate for fifth or sixth grade students. The two 15-item worksheets below ask the student to underline all the adverbs in the sentence and draw an arrow from the adverb to the word it modifies. Some sentences have two adverbs. Pagkilala sa Pang-abay_1 Pagkilala sa Pang-abay_2 Salitang Inilalarawan ng Pang-abay_1 : This 15-item worksheet asks the student to draw a box around the word that the underlined adverb describes and to tell whether that word is a pandiwa, pang-uri, or another pang-abay.

Worksheets on “Si Ninoy”

I've written a short essay on the life of Ninoy Aquino and made worksheets based on the essay.  The worksheets are appropriate for fifth grade students. 1.  This pdf file is the 2-page essay on Ninoy: Si Ninoy 2.  Si Ninoy Worksheets :  This first two pages of this pdf file is the same essay with several numbered sentences intended for the second of three worksheets. The first worksheet (15 items) asks the student to answer whether a given statement about Ninoy is tama (correct) or mali (incorrect). The second worksheet (15 items) refers to the underlined portions of the numbered sentences in the essay. The student is asked to determine whether the underlined portion is a parirala (phrase), sugnay (clause), or pangungusap (sentence). Bantas Worksheets (Part 1)

The two pdf worksheets below are about writing Filipino sentences with the correct punctuation.  The following are the punctuation marks included in these worksheets: tuldok (period) kuwit (comma) tandang pananong (question mark) tandang pandamdam (exclamation point) gitling (hyphen) kudlit (apostrophe) panipi (quotation marks) tutuldok (colon) The answer keys are in the same file as the worksheets. Paggamit ng Wastong Bantas_1:  This 2-page worksheet has 20 items.  The student is asked to rewrite the sentence on the blank with the appropriate punctuation marks. Paggamit ng Wastong Bantas_2:  The 2-page worksheet is a letter (by a grandmother to her granddaughter) with blanks where the punctuation marks should be.  The student is asked to fill in the blanks with the appropriate punctuation marks to complete the letter.
