New Video Poems

Since lockdowns have been imposed and classes are conducted online, I've seen fewer people and kids in bookstores. So I've made a couple of my poems into short videos (mp4). In my TeachersPayTeachers store Oliotopia, I recently posted two new products. The Kaya Ko Video Poem is 2:32 minutes long, featuring my short poem Kaya Ko. Background music plays in one version but there are no reading voices because it is meant to be read aloud by the teacher/parent or read silently by the learner. This short video can be used by teachers as an introductory or motivational activity for a lesson on verbs during an online class. It can also be used for practice reading in Filipino. The other product, Ang Bata sa Tula, is a mini-ebook and video of a collection of 10 silly four-line Filipino poems about children. The product features PDF file versions and an mp4…

Pagtambalin ang mga Pantig

If you will be teaching Filipino syllables (mga pantig), below is the link to a PDF file with 4 worksheets. These worksheets ask the learner to match a 3-letter syllable to another 3-letter syllable to create a Filipino word. The learner is asked to write the complete word on the rightmost column. The example given matches the syllables suk and lay to make the word suklay. Look at the preview below. Most syllables are of the form KPK (katinig-patinig-katinig). Note that ng is considered to be one letter (a consonant or katinig) in the Filipino alphabet, so a syllable like mang is a 3-letter syllable (KPK form). The Terms of Use are given in the same PDF file. If you download the PDF file and use the worksheets, it is understood that you have agreed to abide by the terms. You can also read the Terms of Use in the…

Multiplication Charts (1-10 and 1-12)

I'm working on a new math product for my Teachers Pay Teachers store Oliotopia and I thought I would share a few pages here. I have not posted the new product yet since it's not yet finished. Below are the links to two PDF files. The first PDF file has a multiplication chart with factors from 1 to 10. The other PDF file has a multiplication chart with factors from 1 to 12. Both files have a page showing how to use a multiplication chart. The pages are in black and white and are designed to be printed on short-sized bond paper (8.5" x 11"). These resources were made using clip art images from Kari Bolt and Creating4 The Classroom. If you download the files, it is understood that you agree to abide by the Terms of Use indicated in the main menu of this website. If you still have…
