Tula: Maglaro Tayo!

Here's a Filipino poem I wrote about games Filipino children play. And I don't mean digital games. Feel free to use it in any way you want for your students. You can ask them to memorize the poem, present a choral poetry performance, or maybe use it in a skit. Or you can simply post it on your bulletin board for your students to read. The image below is the first part of the poem. The poem has two pages. I also provided another page where you can find the entire poem. The first page of the PDF file contains its Terms of Use. Magbasa Tayo!: Ang Utos ni Nanay

This is another installment to the set of Magbasa Tayo! worksheets. It includes a short story, several multiple-choice questions about the story, and a short-answer question. The short story and questions are in Filipino. I did not indicated the grade level because it would be best for you to judge whether the story is appropriate for your child's (or student's) reading level. Ang Pagbabahin ni Pabling (Maikling Kuwento)

I'm happy to share with you a short story (in Filipino) that I've written about a young monkey trying to find the solution to his persistent sneezing. I've also made some questions about the story that the student can answer to test his or her comprehension. The PDF file has three pages for the story and two pages for the questions. I thought this would be a nice read-aloud story for young students or an introduction to reading Filipino words that end in -ing or -in. I drew the illustrations of the monkey in the PDF file. The PDF file also features clip art by Kari Bolt and Little Red's Clipart. A font by Kimberly Geswein was also used.
