The two pdf worksheets below are about the focus of Filipino verbs (pokus ng pandiwa). The student is asked to identify the focus of the underlined verb in the sentence. Each worksheet has fifteen items.
The key to identifying the focus of the verb is to first identify the subject (simuno/paksa) of the sentence and seeing how the subject is related to the verb or how the verb relates to the subject.
There are six categories or types of focus of verbs. The focus of verbs can change by changing the affix or affixes attached to the verb. Look at the examples below (in blue).
The link below is a short quiz (13 items) on Filipino heroes. The second page is the answer key. The student is asked to identify the Filipino hero being described. You may print and distribute this quiz to your children or students, but please do not do so for profit.

The worksheets in the two pdf files below ask the child to identify the object, animal, or person being described. For example, the child is asked to color the animal with wings (Kulayan ang hayop na may pakpak.). The child is asked to color or encircle his or her answer. These worksheets are appropriate for preschool or first grade students. If the child is not reading yet, the teacher or parent can read the instruction to the child.
