Simuno at Panaguri Worksheets (Part 1)

The four pdf worksheets below are about identifying the subject (simuno o paksa) and predicate (panaguri) of sentences in Filipino. They are appropriate for fourth to sixth grade students.

The subject and predicate of a sentence (simuno/paksa at panaguri ng pangungusap) is a topic that is introduced in fourth-grade Filipino.

1. Pagkilala sa Simuno o Paksa ng Pangungusap_1; Mga sagot sa Pagkilala sa Simuno o Paksa ng Pangungusap_1 : This 15-item worksheet asks the student to underline the complete subject (buong simuno o buong paksa) of the sentence. Then the student is asked to write the simple subject (payak na simuno o payak na paksa) on the blank before the item. The sentences are taken from or adapted from Pres. Benigno S. Correction: The second sentence (#2) should be: Ito ay ang ika-apat na State of the Nation Address o SONA ng pangulo. Please insert the word “ay”. The answer to #2 is “Ito”. I couldn’t find the original file, so I am not able to make this correction.

Hi, thanks very much. I’m using your simuno at panaguri worksheets to practice my son having an exam this week. However, I would like to clarify worksheet #2.

I look forward to hear your thoughts. Thanks again.

Hello! Thank you very much for your comment. I’m sorry for the late reply. We had no internet connection the entire day. Yes, you are absolutely correct! The sentence should have read: Ito ay ang ika-apat na State of the Nation Address o SONA ng pangulo. I made the mistake of not writing the word ay. If the ay is there, the word Ito would be the buong simuno. Without the ay, the entire phrase “ang ika-apat na State of the Nation Address o SONA ng pangulo” would be the buong simuno. I will look for that file and make the correction. Thank you very much for your input!
